Our agency specialises in matching families with professional nannies for a variety of needs, including full-time, part-time, live-in, live-out, temporary, and on-call childcare. We also offer babysitting, special needs care, and assistance with household management.
How are your nannies screened?
At Nounou Nannies, we follow a thorough and carefully structured screening process. This includes comprehensive background checks, reference verification, in-depth interviews, and a detailed review of each candidate’s childcare experience. All nannies must hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card or state relative) and up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.
Can I request a nanny who speaks a specific language?
Yes, we can match families with bilingual or multilingual nannies based on their language preferences as best as we can.
How far in advance should I contact your agency to hire a nanny?
We recommend reaching out as soon as possible, especially for long-term or specialised care needs. A permanent placement can take up to 6 weeks. For temporary or last-minute childcare, we do our best to accommodate requests promptly.
What qualifications do your nannies have?
Our nannies are experienced childcare professionals who often have additional certifications in early childhood education, CPR, First Aid, or specialized care. We ensure every nanny has the skills to meet your family’s unique needs.
Are your nannies trained in emergencies?
Yes, all of our nannies are required to have up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications. Many also receive additional training in handling emergencies and safety protocols.
What areas do you serve?
Our agency serves the East Coast of Australia along with International placements however, we predominately service Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast. Please contact us to confirm if we cover your area.
Can your nannies help with household tasks?
Many of our nannies can assist with light household tasks related to childcare, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up play areas. Let us know your needs during our consultation.
Can your agency accommodate families with special needs children?

How do you ensure the safety and privacy of families?
We prioritise safety and privacy by conducting thorough background checks on nannies, ensuring secure communication channels, and adhering to strict confidentiality agreements. We also recommend all our nannies sign non-disclosure forms before commencing work with our clients.
What happens should a problem occur once our nanny commences?
If any issues arise after your nanny has started, please contact our agency immediately. We will mediate the situation and work with you and the nanny to resolve the issue. If necessary, we will do our best to provide a replacement nanny to ensure continuity of care.
Do you offer a replacement guarantee?
We offer a replacement guarantee during the trial period. If your nanny isn’t a good fit, we will work to find a suitable replacement promptly.
